i have been told that they are having some troulbe and missing their destinations.need some more info on this going to be booking next week. thanks
Answer :
Yes!! I was so mad I was scheduled for a short 4 day cruise on February 18th and I was pretty excited because I haven't been on a cruise in a while and they canceled it out of no where!! We did get a full refund and they did offer us a $200 on board credit for our next cruise with them. The problems where due to there propulsion system and have been going on for a while now I was reading reviews on cruisecritic.com from a while ago and they said that the felt that the ship was vibrating due to propulsion problems which shows that it is an ongoing problem.
Answer :
hopefully your not booking the cruise for next week. the carnival destiny is having propulsion problems which caused the cruises of Feb. 13 and 18th to be cancelled.
Answer :
Yes it does. But they are getting it fixed soon and will only affect 2 cruises. So if your just booking now then I can be pretty sure the problem will be fixed by the time you cruise.

Has anyone ever been on Carnival Destiny? If so, what is it like? Did you enjoy it?
My fiance and I are going on Carnival Destiny for our honeymoon. We will be going to Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk and Nassau. I was just wanting to know anything and everything about the ship. Thanks in advance! :)
Answer :
Yes, I went on one and it was very beautiful with friendly staff. Top of the line dining with two sittings in the restaurant-early or late. The food is included bit you have to pay for drinks. If you choose the early time you will have to stick to it. The same table will be yours also until you leave the ship.
You can also get pizza 24 hours a day. Your ship-pass to enter on the ship is linked to your credit card so if you swipe it a lot you know what will happen. This link is done as you check in. If there is no credit card then one can deposit money on the pass, refunds can be done before checking out. After you receive the pass go to the casino to the cashier and let her put a string (twirl-up thing) on it for free so you can wear it around your neck.
There are many gift shops, casino and nightly shows in the theater. Additionally, a disco area, karaoke room, sauna, gym and pool among others.
There are always taking your picture, as you stepping on, stepping off and with different characters. They then display them so if you want them you have to buy them. You can also take pics in different costumes, with guns like a cowboy or in some getup.
There is the Captain's Ball where you have to dress in your best. It is not for a long period of time so you might miss it if you stay too long dressing.
On my cruise there was not a 'midnight buffet' but on others there was one. Liquor is very cheap. I find that the ship was very cold but you might be accustomed to the cold.
I have told you all I remember. Enjoy your cruise!

Should I Go On Carnival Destiny Or Imagination?
i want a ship that is fun (3 kids) that will be relaxing has great quality and shows. I want somewhere where somethings happening all the time. i don't want it to be just adults and nightclubs. Destiny Or Imagination? Thanks
Answer :
Destiny is larger and some people think that it is always better to go on the bigger ship. However I've been on both those ships and personally I did not care for the Destiny. It's an awkward layout. I loved the Imagination and that is my favorite class of ships to go on.
Royal seems to put the better stuff on the newer and bigger ships. Carnival has the opposite approach. They put the better crew and better entertainment on the smaller ships.
Answer :
It depends on what you want. Imagination is the newest, It'll have newer amenities and the cruise trends. It also has a nice spa and a water slide area. Destiny I think had a makeover, it has one of those outside movie screens, more shops and has a water slide. Now, with kids and all of that, I think Imagination would be as parents say for kids, 'da bomb'. Oh, and it also has mini-golf, plus the newest and best Circle C (For tweens) and Club O2 (For teens). Also the most fun Carnival Camp ever. Like I said, new spa trends, new televisions, beautiful rooms, actually this sumer me and my parents might go on Carnival Inspiration with my two brothers. (Same boat, different port) Like I said, go on Imagination and have a great time! Happy sailing!
Answer :
Hmmm both are fabulous ships.. but with the family I would do the Imagination... I think. Dont listen to the guy that says pay more for Royal Caribbean. Carnival is JUST as good, if not better in some aspects.. have a good time :D
